BRENT BARNES - Head Football Coach
Coach Barnes is entering his third season as the Head Coach
at Norman North and 16th overall.
Before being promoted to Head Coach, he served as the Offensive
Coordinator/QB coach at Norman North.
During that time the T-Wolves have won three District Championships and
finished as the state runner-up in 2012 and 2016. North had the best season in school history
in 2016 going 12-1 with the only loss coming in the State Championship game to
Tulsa Union. The offense set school
records in 2016 for Points per game (52), Total yards per game (540), and
Passing yards per game (369). Norman
North has had the #1 passing offense in the highest classification for the past
five seasons with five different quarterbacks, including two All-State quarterbacks
and two All-American quarterbacks.
Before coming to Norman North, Coach Barnes served as an assistant at
Tulsa Union for 3 seasons, all of which resulted in 6A State
Championships. His wife Liz is a
counselor at Norman North. They have two
sons, Cooper (6) and Cal (2).
